Knifepoint Robbery Suspect Tasered During Arrest

A Windsor man faces multiple charges after being arrested in connection with a knifepoint convenience store robbery.

Officers were called to the Quick Mart at the corner of Wyandotte St. E. and Isabelle St. around 9:30am Saturday morning.

Investigators say the suspect made off with a carton of cigarettes.

On Sunday afternoon, an officer spotted a man matching the description of the suspect.

A taser was used by police after the suspect became combative and resisted arrest, with the man suffering a minor injury while being placed in handcuffs.

A 36-year-old man is charged with robbery, possession of a dangerous weapon and resisting arrest.
