Lakeshore Loses Game 7 Thriller
The Lakeshore Canadiens season is over.
It came to an end Monday night in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Lambeth Lancers in Game 7 of their Schmalz Cup quarter-final series.
Lakeshore had a 1-0 lead after the first period and then 2-1 heading into the third period, however the Lancers railled to force the deciding frame.
Johan Goodman's goal just 57 seconds into overtime won it for the visiting Lancers.
Mejoe Gasparovic and Jarrett Tazzman had the Lakeshore goals.
The Canadiens out shot the Lancers 47-26.
Lambeth now advances to play the Glanbrook Rangers in the Provincial Junior Hockey League's semi-finals.
