LaSalle Craft Beer Festival Ready For Another Year
The big, heated tent is ready at the Vollmer Centre for this weekend's 4th annual Craft Beer Festival.
LaSalle Supervisor of Programming, Patti Funaro, says they expect around 3,000 people to come out to sample.
"You purchase tokens for $1.50 each for a sample and then we have 13 different breweries coming," explains Funaro. "We have craft beer and also beer cocktails which was a big hit last year so who don't think they like beer I encourage you to try the craft beer cocktails."
She says there is a lot going on during the 2 days.
"We have music going on, and lots of craft beer, food trucks, games," says Funaro. "We've added a few features this year, we're having a beer run on Saturday at 2:30. Run, walk or crawl to the finish line and you get a beer at the finish line."
She says they'll have entertainment on stage as well.
"We have the DJ from Bentley's back in the day coming to do some 80's and 90's hits DJ Joe," she says. "Then Saturday we have live music all day with our headline act being a band called the Canadian Exports, they're a really great group of guys who play all the classic Canadian hits everybody remembers."
The event is tonight from 5pm to midnight and Saturday 2pm to midnight, it's $20 at the door.
