LaSalle Teen Arrested In Convenience Store Robbery

A LaSalle teen has been arrested in connection to a convenience store robbery in Windsor.

Police were called around 3am Monday to a convenience store in the 2600-block of Lauzon Rd., south of Tecumseh Rd. E.

An employee told police a suspect had entered the store, grabbed a small amount of merchandise and left.

When the worker confronted the suspect outside the store, things got physical and the employee was hit with an edged weapon.

The clerk was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Around 10:30pm, police went to a home in LaSalle and arrested a 16-year-old suspect without incident.

A knife was also recovered.

The teen, who can not be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is facing a charge of robbery and assault with a weapon.
