Lions Host The Jets At Ford Field

The Lions host the New York Jets in the preseason home opener at Ford Field tomorrow night.

The lions won their first preseason game 24-10 over the Colts in Indianapolis last Sunday, but defensive end Kerry Hyder and linebacker Brandon Copeland both suffered season ending injuries.  

Cornelius Washington is expected to take over
at left end for the Detroit Lions after Kerry Hyder's season-ending
Achilles tendon injury.

Washington, who has three sacks in 30 career games - Hyder had a
team-high eight sacks last year

Tight end Eric Ebron, guard T.J Lang, defensive tackle Haloti Ngata and guard Laken Tomlinson were some of the players who did not take part in drills yesterday.
