Low Turnout For Free Prostate Cancer Screening Clinic

Despite a free prostate cancer/P.S.A  screening clinic in Windsor over the weekend, only 22 men took advantage of it.

The clinic on Saturday was the first of its kind in Windsor at the Grand Marais Medical Centre.

It was sponsored by the Windsor-Essex Prostate Cancer Support Group which points out this area has the highest diagnosed rate of prostate cancer in all of Ontario.

Bottoms Up Pints For Prostate Co-Organizer and paramedic Sarah White says they hope to hold another clinic in the fall in the Amherstburg area and she hopes it will be better attended.

90% of prostate cancer patients can be cured if it is detected early enough.
