Majority Of Power Restored In Windsor-Essex

Many people across southern Ontario and Quebec are still waiting for their power to be restored after the region was hammered by heavy winds and rain.

Locally, Enwin, Essex Power and Hydro One are reporting power has been restored for the majority of customers in Windsor-Essex.

All three hydro providers say to give them a call if you still don't have power.

Friday's wind storm is being blamed for the deaths of two men in Ontario.

One was killed by a falling tree in Milton, the other electrocuted while trying to clear a downed power line from his driveway in Hamilton.

Environment Canada says wind gusts reached 120km/h causing flights to be grounded at airports in Toronto and Montreal.
