Masse Dominating at Canadian Swimming Trials

LaSalle's Kylie Masse is tearing it up at the 2019 Canadian Swimming Trials being held in Toronto.

On Friday, the 23-year-old broke her own Canadian record and swam the fastest time in the world this year to win the 200-metre backstroke.

On the opening day of the meet, Masse nearly broke the 100-metre backstroke world record.

She won the race with a time of 58.16-seconds narrowly missing the 58-second world record.

Canada’s best swimmers are taking part in the five day event competing for spots on teams which could lead to qualifying for next year's Olympic games in Tokyo.
