Measles In Ontario and Michigan

Two cases of Measles have popped up in Ontario and Michigan.

A passenger on a flight from Switzerland to Toronto last week had the virus and other passengers could have been exposed.

Health officials have also confirmed the first case of Measles in Michigan. 

The person returned to Metro Detroit Airport after traveling internationally and went to an urgent care center in Washtenaw County, March 6th.

Measles is a highly contagious disease that has symptoms including a high fever, a cough, and light-sensitive eyes. 

If not treated, measles can lead to pneumonia, brain inflammation or death.
