Mets Double Blue Jays 6-3

Blue Jays slugger Kendrys Morales hit a solo home run in the second but a five-run fifth inning lifted the New York Mets over Toronto 6-3 to split their two-game interleague series.

Lourdes Gurriel Junior hit a two-out R-B-I single in the fourth before Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman unravelled in the fifth.

Todd Frazier hit a two-run homer for the Mets (34-49) and Brandon Nimmo, Michael Conforto and Asdrubal Cabrera had run-scoring singles.

Marcus Stroman (1-6) was chased after 4 2/3 innings.

The right-hander allowed six runs and six hits, walked four and struck out two over an 85-pitch outing.
