More Talks Planned To Avert A Strike At Jamieson Laboratories In Windsor
More talks are planned to try and avert a strike at Jamieson Laboratories in Windsor.
The current contract expires on February 22nd at 12:01am, at which point, workers would be able to walk off the job.
But Unifor Local 195 President Gerry Farnham says talks up until this point have been positive and he is optimistic a strike can be averted.
"We are meeting on the 21st and I'm cautiously optimistic that we will hopefully start off on the same foot that we left off, " says Farnham. "It was moving in the right direction and that we can hammer out an agreement."
Farnham says there is a "host of issues" that are on the bargaining table but he wouldn't get into details.
Unifor Local 195 represents 240 workers at Jamieson Laboratories.
