More Than 200 Casino Jobs up for Grabs in Chatham

The help wanted sign is up in Chatham.

Cascades Casino is holding a career fair on Wednesday for its new $36-million gaming facility.

Director of Communications Rob Mitchell says more than 200 positions are up for grabs.

"Cage and coin cashiers, security, to positions in our restaurants, the buffet," says Mitchell.  "We're looking for auditors.  We're looking for dealers.  We're looking for guest service representatives.  We're basically staffing up."

Mitchell says those interested are asked to bring their resume and be prepared for on the spot interviews.

"It's going to be along day but we will be well staffed and that's probably your best bet is to get some face time with some of our staff and get in front of our staff," says Mitchell.

Mitchell says the 45,000 square foot casino is expected to open in July.

It's located at the site of the former Wheels Inn at the corner of Keil Dr. and Richmond St.

The casino includes 333 slots and 12 table games, and two non-age restricted restaurants.

The job fair runs from 9am until 7pm at the John D. Bradley Centre.
