NAFTA Talks End In Stalemate

The latest round of NAFTA talks ended in a stalemate Friday.

According to CTV National News Correspondent Richard Madan, Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland is heading home with talks possibly expected to resume Wednesday.

Freeland departed the the headquarters of the United States Trade Representative for the Canadian Embassy after several hours of consultations.

She has said little in the way of specifics during this latest round of talks as she and her American counterpart Robert Lighthizer have agreed not to negotiate in public.
