New Jersey Edges The Red Wings 4-3

Kyle Palmieri collected two goals to help lift the Devils past the Red Wings 4-3 at Joe Louis Arena.  

Former Spitfire Adam Henrique's shorthanded goal in the third proved to be the difference as New Jersey snapped a two-game slide.

Stefan Noesen, a former Plymouth Whaler also scored in the first period and Cory Schneider made 27 saves in the winning effort.  

Tomas Tatar and Nick Jensen scored in the final nine minutes to pull Red Wings within one however Detroit would not find the equalizer and lost its fifth straight.

Jared Coreau turned aside 20 of the 24 shots he faced in goal.  Center Dylan Larkin returned to the lineup after missing two games with an upper body injury.  The Wings host the New York Islanders Friday.
