Newest Spitfire Signs

The newest Spitfire is excited to be in Windsor.

Will Cuylle has signed his standard OHL player and educaton package after being acquired from Peterborough last week.

The 6'2", 200lb left-winger was selected third overall by the Petes in this year's league draft but didn't sign with the team.

"I think it just wasn't the best fit for me," says Cuylle.  "There were better options out there."

Cuylle is excited join the Spitfires franchise.

"Just the history.  So many good players have come through here," says Cuylle.  "It's a great organization all around.  Great players have welcomed me with warm arms.  Same with the management and coaches.  Everything is well done, very professional."

Cuylle suited up in three games for the Spitfires at the OHL Showcase in Buffalo on the weekend and scored three goals.

"It's was really exciting.  I was really nervous going into it," says Cuylle.  "But after a few shifts I caught up to the speed a bit and got lucky on a few goals, so it felt good."

Cuylle had 62 points in 43 regular season games with the Toronto Marlboros AAA midget team last season.
