No Charges Laid After Suspect Bitten by Windsor Police Dog

No charges will be laid after a robbery suspect suffered a dog bite during an arrest in Windsor.

In June 2017,  Windsor police were called to a home to arrest a 28-year-old man on charges of armed robbery.

When the suspect wouldn't come out of the house, officers and police dog, kicked in the door.

The K9 unit found the man hiding in the attic.

The suspect was arrested and then transported to hospital for treatment of neck injuries.

The director of the province's Special Investigations Unit concluded there were no reasonable grounds to lay criminal charges against police.
