Noseworthy Drafted By Montreal
Two members of the Windsor Lancers' women's hockey team are headed to Montreal to begin their pro hockey careers.
Belle River's Natalie Barrette and Erin Noseworthy have been selected in the Canadian Women's Hockey League draft.
Barrette was taken in the third round, while Noseworthy was selected in the fourth round.
Both played five seasons together with the Lancers.
Noseworthy says "Montreal was the first team that I picked. I've never personally been to Montreal and I am a big Habs fan, so that kind of worked out. I'm really excited to get the chance to see the city and potentially live in the city."
Noseworthy credits Lancers head coach Jim Hunter for preparing her for this opportunity.
In 18 games for the Lancers last season, Noseworthy scored 12 goals and had 19 points.
