Pistons Drop Season Opener
The Pistons started the regular season with a 109-91 loss to the Raptors in Toronto last night. Tobias Harris led Detroit with 22 points, Marcus Morris added 17 points and Andre Drummond had 16 points.
DeMar DeRozan scored 21 of his 40 points in a spectacular third quarter to propel Toronto to in the team's season opener.
DeRozan broke Vince Carter's record for an opening-night performance (39 points) set in 2003.
Jonas Valanciunas added a career-high 32 points and 11 rebounds while Kyle Lowry finished with 10 points and eight assists.
Tobias Harris had 22 to top the Pistons.
The Pistons host the Orlando Magic tomorrow night in the home opener at The Palace.
