The Windsor Port Authority is helping to feed the hungry.

It has presented a cheque for $4,000 to the St. John's Anglican Church Food Bank.

One in three children in the west Windsor area lives in a low income household and the Windsor Port Authority wanted to help the food bank reach its goal to support families in Sandwich the need help with healthy food supplies — especially with the return to school next week.

The St. John's food bank is accessed by 100 to 125 people every month.

The Windsor Port Authority donates 3% of its revenues to charitable and community needs.
