Raonic Out In Montreal

A wrist injury has sixth-seeded Milos Raonic of Thornhill out at the Rogers Cup in Montreal after he fell to France's Adrian Mannarino 6-4, 6-4. The heavy-serving Raonic did not get an ace until 4-4 in the second set, but lost his serve in the same game.

Canadian teenager Denis Shapovalov will face top-seeded Rafael Nadal tomorrow.  Nadal breezed past Borna Coric of Croatia 6-1, 6-2 to advance to the third round, while Shapovalov upset 2009 U.S. Open champion Juan Martin De Potro in straight sets.

World number one Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic will play Japan's Naomi Osaka in the third round of the Rogers Cup in Toronto today. Second-seeded Romanian Simona Halep will take on Barbora Strycova of the Czech Republic this afternoon.
