The Windsor Selects are one of two teams representing Ontario at the U21 National Men's Baseball Championships in Gatineau, Quebec.

The Selects open the eight-team tournament Thursday afternoon against Saskatchewan.

Head Coach Al Bernacchi says his team is ready.

"We got to feel pretty good winning the eliminations with 23-teams in it coming here with eight teams so the confidence is high, a young team but they know they belong now," says Bernacchi.  "So winning a tournament like that last weekend does a lot for you coming into this one."

Bernacchi, also says his team is young but confident.

"This is our tenth national in 13-years so we get to know what it's like and generally most teams are pretty tough," says Bernacchi.  "We have a tough game with Saskatchewan out of the gate.  They were good last year."

The Selects second game is Friday night against host team, Gatineau.
