Senate Confirms Brett Kavanaugh To U.S. Supreme Court

It came down to one of the narrowest votes for a Supreme Court Nominee in history, but the Senate has confirmed Brett Kavanaugh as an associate justice of the Supreme Court.

Kavanaugh was confirmed 50-48 Saturday as the vote unfolded with protesters shouting from the gallery.

The vote ends the fight to block the appointment amid accusations that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted women in the '80s. — accusations he denied under oath.
