Shapovalov Is Out In Toronto

Canadian Denis Shapovalov was ousted from the Rogers Cup after losing to Robin Haase of the Netherlands 7-5, 6-2 in third-round action.

Shapovalov, the highest-ranked Canadian in the men's singles draw at number 26, had trouble with his serve throughout the match on centre court, which lasted just one hour 16 minutes.

World number-one Rafael Nadal has his sights on another Rogers Cup title.

The three-time champion will take on the seventh seed Marin Cilic on centre court tonight in the quarterfinals.

Nadal has a 5-2 record against Cilic, including a victory in the quarters of the Australian Open earlier this year.

Nadal downed Stan Wawrinka 7-5, 7-6 last night.
