Shepley Signs With The Jets

A local football player is on his way to the NFL.

Dakoda Shepley has agreed to a free-agent contract with the NFL's New York Jets.

Shepley played his High School football in South Windsor for the Holy Names Knights, and his College ball with the UBC Thunderbirds.

The 6'4", 310lb offensive lineman will officially sign and participate in the Jets mini-camp later this week.

Shepley is also expected to be selected in the CFL Draft later this week.

The Jets also selected the lone Canadian in the NFL Draft Nathan Shepard from Ajax, who played his College football in Hays, Kansas.
