Three men have been arrested after allegedly shooting a firearm in the city's west end.

Windsor police say an elderly couple called police early Saturday morning after an unknown vehicle pulled into their driveway.

According to police, the men then entered the backyard of the home on Titcombe Rd. near Matchette Rd. where several shots were fired with a rifle.

The group then fled the area, but police were able to track down the vehicle a short time later.

According to police, the men threw the firearm out of the vehicle but it was later recovered at the scene.

Police also say there was ammunition in the vehicle.

All three men are facing a number of charges including possession of a dangerous weapon and discharing a firearm.

Police believe the house was chosen at random and there is no connection between the men charged and the elderly homeowners.
