SIU Terminates Leamington Investigation Due to Minor Injury
The Special Investigations Unit has wrapped up an investigation in Leamington after it found police did nothing wrong.
The SIU says on February 27, 2019, OPP officers responded to a disconnected 911 call from a Leamington address.
Upon arrival, an officer saw a light coming from a window at the back of the house.
According to the SIU, a man was found climbing out of a window.
The SIU says the 25-year-old man was related to the home owner and was arrested.
The man complained of a sore hand and was transported to a health facility.
SIU Director Tony Loparco terminated the investigation after medical evidence found the man did not suffer a serious injury.
