Slight Win for FCA Minivan Sales in May
A slim positive figure from the May sales at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Canada.
Overall the month was well behind the same period of 2018, with a decline of 25 per cent.
For the Windsor-built minivans, the numbers are mostly negative with Pacifica sales down 25 per cent from May last year.
Total fleet and retails sales of the Dodge Grand Caravan dropped 27 per cent from May 2018.
But retail sales of the Grand Caravan in dealerships did show improvement from just over 1400 in May 2018 to 1800 last month.
Of all FCA vehicles, the Jeep Wrangler was the only solid seller, up 19 per cent from May last year.
Stateside it's a more positive picture with an overall sales increase in May of two per cent from a year ago.
While Pacifica sales matched those in Canada, Grand Caravan number were up nearly 10 per cent from the May a year ago.
