Spitfires Beat Greyhounds

Gabe Vilardi and Logan Brown each had a goal and an assist as the Windsor Spitfires downed the Soo Greyhounds 5-2 at the WFCU Centre on Thursday night.

Defenceman Sean Day had two assists for the Spitfires.

Aaron Luchuk, Cristiano DiGiacinto and Jeremiah Addison into an empty net also scored for Windsor.

Forward Jerimiah Addison says they wanted redemption after last weekend's loss in Flint.

"We needed a bounce back performance to show that we are a top team and a contending team," says Addison.

Defenceman Logan Stanley says the win was a result of a solid team effort.

"I think everyone played hard tonight from our goalie out," says Stanley. "We played a solid team game and we shut it down in the third."

Amherstburg's Michael DiPietro made 23 saves to post the win.

With the win, Windsor moves back into first place in the OHL West Division.
