Spitfires Defencemen Sergachev Says He's Learned Lesson
Windsor Spitfires Defenceman Mikhail Sergachev says he knows he has to control his emotions better.
Coach Rocky Thompson sat him for the 3rd period of Sunday's loss to Sarnia after he took bad penalties.
Sergachev knows it was the wrong thing to do:
(obviously it didn't help my team by taking 3 penalties I can't be doing that any more especially in the playoffs)
Sergachev says it was tough being pulled from the ice, but he gets it:
(I understand that because its part of the learning process and I gotta control my emotions. I totally agree with that)
Sergachev says he looks at this as a learning experience:
(I did stupid things before, like take taking penalties and stuff I'm just playing my game and trying to help my team when I get emotional and mad I don't help my team and just play my game)
Sergachev and Thompson had a meeting today and both say they feel the issue is behind them.
