Spitfires Prepare For Petes

The Windsor Spitfires take on the Peterborough Petes in OHL action Thursday night at the WFCU Centre.

Windsor starts play holding down the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, as they trail seventh place Sarnia by two points, and lead the ninth place Otters by three.

The Spitfires dropped the only previous game against the Petes this season, losing 4-2 in Peterborough back in mid-October.

Spits forward Chase Campbell says he's not worried about who's ahead or behind them.

"We're not worried about what's ahead of us, were just worried about the game at hand, and that's the one tonight against Peterborough.  I think if we come in and play the way we can, fast  and we compete in all area's, I think we give ourselves a pretty good chance of winning."

With just over two weeks remaining in the regular season coach Trevor Letowski says he's not looking too far ahead.

"This week we have an important weekend.  We have three games in four nights and we have two home games so we've got to get some points. Obviously we're well aware that we have eight games left, but we're just looking to have a successful weekend and move forward from there."

Broadcast time Thursday night is 6:30pm on AM800.
