Spitfires Trade Sirman To Ottawa

The Spitfires have traded second-year forward Will Sirman to the Ottawa 67's for a pair of draft picks.

Sirman scored six goals and had 19 points in 66 games for Windsor last season.  He added two goals in the Spitfires' playoff loss to Sarnia.

General Manager Warren Rychel says it's tough to let Sirman go.

"He's been great for us in the room and the community and he's a really likeable kid," says Rychel.  "But we've got a deep group of forwards right now and have to get our numbers down."

Sirman was originally chosen in the 14th round (263rd overall) in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection.
