St. Angela Festival Celebrating 32nd Year
It's the 32nd year for the St. Angela Merici Festival.
The party will shut down Erie Street from Howard to Parent Avenue on Saturday beginning at 12:30pm.
Live music, food, and family activities celebrating Italian culture are the main attractions for the two-day event.
Festival Committee Chair Dan Castellan tells AM800 News it's going to be a perfect weekend.
"There's going to be great weather, that's what it sounds like now. A lot of great food, children's games on Sunday afternoon," he says. "I just want the Windsor community to come out and enjoy the comradery, the food and the culture of the St. Angela Festival."
He says those in attendance can touch on the spiritual side of the weekend at the 32nd anniversary mass Sunday night.
"It'll start from the church and it will go up and down Erie Street carrying the statue of St. Angela and there will be a candlelight procession basically," added Castellan.
Erie St. will be closed between Howard and Parent Avenue from 12:30pm to midnight Saturday and 12pm to midnight Sunday.
