State Of Emergency Lifted In Leamington
A State of Emergency has been lifted in Leamington stemming from a leaking abandoned well.
It was terminated today at 1pm.
Two homes were evacuated back in October 2016 after a mixture of gases was leaking from the well outside of a home on Robson Rd near Malibu Dr.
Final capping operations began February 15.
The residents who were displaced for safety reasons are now being allowed to return to their homes.
The well was successfully capped and the area is deemed safe again.
