Stolen Pickup Found Stuck in Railway Tracks

Two Windsor residents face charges after city police found a pickup truck reported stolen in eastern Ontario.

Around 7:30pm on February 1, officers responded to a report of a recovered stolen vehicle on Walker Rd. between the Expressway and Grand Marais Rd. E.

Officers blocked one entrance to a building but the driver of the suspect vehicle sped away through another exit — the vehicle was found not far away after getting stuck on railway tracks.

Officers followed two separate sets of footprints, finding both a male and female suspects.

A 28-year-old man is charged with break and enter as well as a pair of possession of stolen property counts. A 37-year-old woman faces similar charges but has been released on a promise to return to court.
