Storm Beat Rangers To Move Ahead Of The Spits

Isaac Ratcliffe scored 56 seconds into overtime as the Guelph Storm rallied from three goals down to defeat the Kitchener Rangers 4-3 in Ontario Hockey League action.

Ryan Merkley, Mason Primeau and Alexey Toropchenko scored for Guelph (29-28-9), which was down 3-0 early in the second period.

Toropchenko tied the game 18:11 into the third period.

The win snapped a four-game slide as the Storm jump to 6th in the standings a point up on the Spitfires.

Riley Damiani led the Rangers (43-20-3) with two goals.  Former Spitfire Logan Brown had the other.

Storm goaltender Anthony Popovich stopped 37 shots. Kitchener's Luke Richardson made 22 saves.
