Street Help Homeless Centre Will Serve Traditional Thanksgiving Meal

Turkey with all the trimmings will be served this Thanksgiving at Street Help Homeless Centre on Wyandotte St. E.

Administrator Christine Wilson-Furlonger says two holiday meals will be served, one on Sunday and the other on Monday.

She says 300 people are expected to attend each meal.

Wilson-Furlonger says the meals are made possible thanks to community donations.

"We have been receiving a lot of nice veggies to cook up and potatoes and turkeys," says Wilson-Furlonger. "So we're really blessed to know that we're going to have a wonderful meal again this year for Thanksgiving."

The meals will be served from 2pm until 6pm.
