Suspect Arrested As Windsor Police Foil Overnight Robbery

Officers were called just before midnight to a convenience store on Ouellette Ave. near Wyandotte for a possible robbery in progress.
A man wearing a mask had entered the store and threatened he had a gun.
The officer in the Prisoner Transportation Vehicle was in the area and arrived on scene to find an employee gesturing that the suspect was still in the store.
The officer saw the suspect inside with a scarf covering his face.
As the officer approached, the suspect tried to run out of the store but was quickly arrested.
A Windsor man is charged with robbery and having face masked with intent to commit indictable offence.
