Suspect Arrested in Windsor Mosque Break-in

Windsor police have laid charges in connection to a break-in at the Windsor Mosque.

Police launched an investigation into a break and enter to a produce store on January 30th, 2019 on E.C Row Avenue East.

The complainants reported that a wallet containing a bank card had been stolen and the bank card was later used at a jewelry store.

Investigators had a surveillance image of the suspect.

On Thursday, February 7th, an officer stopped a vehicle and recognized a passenger in the vehicle as being the suspect who used the stolen bank card.

He was arrested and police allege he was found to be in possession of property reported stolen from the mosque.

Henry Lewenza, 41, of Windsor is charged with break and enter, fraud under $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000, using a stolen credit card and fraudulent use of a credit card.
