Suspect in Windsor Child Sexual Abuse Case is in B.C.

Windsor Police have laid charges in connection with a child sexual abuse case.

On Wednesday March 27, officers learned a female child had been sexually assaulted and a suspect was identified.

Police say the 33-year old man was an acquaintance of the victims family and friends and had access to the her.

The alleged offences took place between February 1st and March 12th.

Wesley Clarkson, who has ties to the Windsor-area, is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and probation offences.

He is currently in custody in British Columbia on similar charges, involving female victims under the age of ten years, from that jurisdiction.

Investigators believe there may be other local victims.
