Suspect in Windsor Murder Waives Right to Extradition Hearing

A suspect charged in the death of a Windsor mom has waived his right to an extradition hearing.

Jitesh Bhogal, 27, is charged with first-degree murder, aggravated sexual assault and break and enter in the death of 31-year-old Autumn Taggart.

Bhogal was arrested in the U.S on Friday, August 17 in Washington state and CTV News has learned that Bhogal signed an affidavit waiving his rights to an extradition hearing.

It means he will be returned to Windsor to answer to the charges in court.

Taggart was found dead in her University Ave. apartment near McKay Ave. on August 10.

She died of blunt force trauma.

Her nine-year-old son was also in the home at the time of her death.

It is not known when Bhogal will return to Canada
