Take Back Your Drugs Takes 10 Pounds Of Drugs Off City Streets
It is being described as the best turnout ever for the event.
More than 10lbs of narcotics with a street value of up to $55,000 was collected during the Take Back Your Drugs event this past weekend.
From 9am to 5pm on Saturday, Crime Stoppers of Windsor Essex and Devonshire Mall held its annual "Shred Don't Share and Take Back Your Drugs" event.
Crime Stoppers Program Manager Tyler Lamphier says the response was unbelievable.
By noon, they had received more drop offs compared to last year and it didn't slow down.
Some of the drugs that were dropped off included Percocet and Fentanyl patches.
For the shredding side of things, almost 400 boxes of sensitive documents were shredded.
