Tecumseh Crash Ends in Drug and Weapons Charges

A bizarre twist in Tecumseh after OPP responded to a report of a "suspicious vehicle" last weekend.

Police were called to a park on Riverside Dr. at around 9:30am on Saturday March 28. Officers arrived to find a vehicle had hit a park-bench around 100-meters off the roadway near the water's edge.

The driver and passenger were placed under arrest in relation to the crash, but police say a search of the vehicle also turned unspecified quantities of cocaine, heroin and psilocybin or magic mushrooms.

Prohibited firearms and restricted weapons were also found in the vehicle.
