The Indians Drop Detroit Again

Carlos Carrasco fired a complete-game, three-hitter as the Indians topped the Tigers 5-1 at Progressive Field.  

Yolmer Alonso's two-run single ignited a four-run fourth inning for Cleveland, which has won four in a row.

The Tribe is 5-and-1 at home and 7-and-5 overall.   Leonys Martin hit a solo homer for the lone Detroit run in the sixth.  

Starter Jordan Zimmermann left in the first inning after taking a Jason Kipnis line drive to the face.  He suffered a bruised jaw.  

Daniel Norris took the loss as the Tigers dropped their third in-a-row.web tigers

The Tigers fell to the Indians 5-1 last night, their third loss in a row in Cleveland.

In tonight's series finale, Michael Fulmer goes the hill for Detroit while Cleveland counters with Trevor Bauer.
