Three Guns Stolen in Dresden Break-in
Chatham-Kent police are investigating the theft of guns in Dresden.
Sometime between 2:30pm on Monday and Tuesday at 9:30am, suspects broke into The Crappie Store on Metcalfe St. by damaging the storefront window and causing about $1,000 in damages.
Once inside, three guns were taken; a .22 cal Savage 22 Mark II bolt action rifle, a 12-gauge Remington Express Supermag pump action shotgun, 30 ought 6 Savage Axis XP bolt action rifle with Weaver scope and a box of Winchester .22 cal ammunition with 100 rounds.
The total value of the theft is estimated at $1,700.
