Tigers and White Sox Split Double Header


The Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox split a day/night double header at Comerica Park.

Jose Abreu delivered three hits, including a solo homerun to put Chicago past Detroit 5-3 in game one.

Following that, Jordy Mercer went two for three with a two-run homer and three RBIs as the Tigers held off the White Sox 10-6 in game two.

Drew VerHagen pitched five innings of one-run ball to pick up the win.

In other MLB action on Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Rays rallied to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6. 

The Tigers and White Sox wrap up their four game series Wednesday afternoon. First pitch goes at 1:10pm.
