Tigers Hit Five Homers To Drop The Yankees

The Tigers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 8-7 win over the Yankees last night in New York.

Detroit entered the ninth inning down 7-5, but Victor Martinez tied the game with a two-run homer and then Niko Goodrum hit a solo shot to put the Tigers in the lead.

Jeimer Candelario hit a home run to lead off the game and Ronny Rodriguez added a two-run homer in the fourth.

Alex Wilson picked up the win in relief and Shane Greene earned his 28th save.

Jordan Zimmermann gets the nod for the Tigers tonight, while the Yankees send Luis Severino to the hill.
