Tigers Send Upton To California

The Detroit Tigers making a big trade with the LA Angels.

The Angels picking up the 30-year-old for the playoff drive as the Tigers send him out for right-handed pitching prospect Grayson Long and a player to be named later.

Upton is batting .279 with 28 homers and 94 RBIs.

He's an immediate upgrade in left field for the Angels.

The four-time All-Star has a deal that includes four more seasons at the same salary, but he can opt out after the World Series and become a free agent.
