Tigers Take Series from Angels

The bats came alive for the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday afternoon.

Homers by Jake Rogers, Brandon Dixon and Gordon Beckham powered Detroit past the Angels, 9-1.

Daniel Norris had gone 14 starts without a win before holding Los Angeles to three hits over five innings.

Detroit made a couple of moves ahead of Wednesday’s trade deadline, including one that saw Nick Castellanos leave the dugout with just a minute to go before the deadline.
