Two Spitfires Named to World U18 Squad

Two members of the Windsor Spitfires have been named to Canada's Under-18 team for the 2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in the Czech Republic.

Will Cuylle and Jean-Luc Foudy are among the 22 players named to the squad following a five-day selection camp in Calgary.

The 17-year-old Cuylle scored 26 goals and had 41 points in 63 games for the Spitfires in his rookie season, while the 17-year-old Foudy had eight goals and 49 points in 63 games in his rookie campaign.

Canada has won gold 22 times in 28 years of summer under-18 competition, along with two silver medals and one bronze.

The tournament opens on Monday.
