UPDATE: Charges Laid In Overnight EC Row Expressway Crash

A Windsor man has been charged following a two-vehicle crash on the EC Row Expressway in which a good samaritan was struck by a car.

Police were called around 10:52pm Tuesday after an eastbound vehicle struck the guard rail in heavy rain, east of Dougall Ave.

Another driver stopped to help and was struck by another eastbound vehicle.

Three people including the two drivers and the good samaritan were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the initial car that struck the guard rail, a 26-year-old Windsor man, has been charged with careless driving and driving while under suspension.

The expressway was closed for several hours for accident reconstruction but re-opened about 4:30am.
